Florida Everglades Bass Fishing

We were out last week in mid-September and boated 17 largemouth on alligator alley in about 5 hours up to 5 1/2 lbs. All the bass were caught on plastic type baits and down deeper than normal. The Florida Everglades bass fishing at this time of year can be tougher than spring so you have to work for them. South Florida has so many canals, small lakes and the famous Lake Okeechobee for year round largemouth bass fishing. Bass fishing the Florida Everglades

Now that the water is still rising with the heavy rain we've been experiencing the flats should be holding more bass soon. Out on alligator alley this week we caught plenty of bass but mostly on the smaller side. In about 5 or 6 hours we boated 30 largemouth bass up to 3 lbs. with a few larger bass missed. For this time of year I'll take that anytime. Hopefully this rain will sit over Lake Okeechobee for a few weeks and raise the water level on the this great lake.

Florida Everglades Bass fishing

Bass fishing in the Florida Everglades has been good despite the rising water and hot water temperatures. I went out fun fishing for bass last week and caught about 30 largemouth up to 3 lbs. with my buddy Tim Gray. If the rain will subside somewhat the fishing will remain good. High water usually forces the bass onto the flats and scatters them making them a little harder to locate.

Florida Everglades Bass Fishing

We've been catching great numbers of largemouth bass this month in the Florida Everglades up to 6 lbs. Each trip has produced between 40 to 70 bass in 4 to 6 hours of sweating. It's been brutally hot but the bass keep on biting. E-mail me at info@southfloridabassfishing.net for further information on fishing South Florida on Lake Okeechobee or the Florida Everglades for largemouth bass. South Florida also offers Peacock Bass fishing near Miami and Ft. Lauderdale which is the only place in North America to catch these awesome fighting fish.

Everglades Bass Fishing Holiday Park

It's been another great week for bass fishing in South Florida. I had Jason and his buddy Jacob from Boca Raton, Florida out for a 6 hours trip this week. The young guys landed about 20 bass up to three pounds and we totaled about 40 up to 5 1/2 lbs. We were using topwater plastic baits and worms to catch these bass in the lily pads. South Florida is one of the best bass fisheries in the nation for bass caught per hour and Everglades Holiday Park is awesome at times. Everglades Bass Fishing

We've been out multiple times in March, April and May. We've caught between 50 and 100 largemouth bass each time out with fish up to 7 lbs. It's just amazing how many bass are biting in the Everglades despite the algae and low oxygen levels we've had this late spring. Now that the rain and fresh water has entered the system the fishing will even get better until the rain gets to heavy. E-mail us at info@southfloridabassfishing.net for more bass fishing or peacock bass fishing South Florida.

Florida Everglades Bass February 2011

The February largemouth bass fishing in the Everglades has been good and getting better each day now that water levels are dropping. The best bass fishing in South Florida begins as the water levels are dropped by water management for the hurricane season. This process is repeated yearly for the heavy rains we experience each summer. The Florida Everglades usually produces more fish per hour of fishing then any other fishery I know. E-mail us for more information at info@southfloridabassfishing.net.

Florida Everglades Bass Fishing January 2011

We've been a little lazy on our posts and have decided that the Everglades bass fishery needs more attention to our readers. Beginning in Janauary this year the fishing started off fantastic as evidence with this beatiful 7 lb. Florida Everglades beauty. I'll just give the monthly report and continue to update the Everglades on a more regular basis.
